Arturo Vilas
Managing Director, Investment Banking
Mr. Vilas joined Tristone Capital in February 2007 as Managing Director of the Buenos Aires office. Mr. Vilas has over 25 years experience as an investment banker, most of which dedicated to serving the energy industry in Latin America, having been based in Buenos Aires, Caracas and London. He has been actively involved in M&A, Project Finance, Public Equity, Capital Markets and Structured Finance transactions for the Oil & Gas, Power and Petrochemical sectors. Since 1995, Mr. Vilas has led or been a key participant in teams conducting M&A and Capital Markets transactions for over $10 billion in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago and Bolivia. Before joining Tristone, Mr. Vilas was Managing Director in charge of the Latin American activities of Scotia Waterous having overseen the establishment and development of that firm's practice since the opening in 2001. Prior thereto, Mr. Vilas was the Managing Director in charge of J.P. Morgan Chase's Energy Group for Argentina. Mr. Vilas is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in French, Portuguese and Italian, in addition to English. He holds a Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Carolina Sona
Associate, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Ms. Carolina Sona joined Tristone in August 2007. She has over 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with companies such as AEC, Petrobras, CGC, Repsol and Pioneer. Ms. Sona has a diverse and extensive industry track record, having focused on reservoir engineering, operations, completions, exploitation, development, project evaluation, business development and acquisitions & divestitures. Her experience includes works in Argentina, Ecuador and Venezuela.
Ms. Sona holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico Buenos Aires (ITBA), in Argentina.
Silvina Gowland
Office Administrator
Ms. Gowland joined Tristone Capital in February 2007. Prior to joining Tristone she worked for BNP Paribas Asset Management for 7 years as Office Manager and Assistant to Managing Director in charge of Argentina's branch. Prior thereto she worked for C&A Modas S.A. for 5 years, reporting directly to the Chairman & CEO for Argentina. Ms. Gowland gained over 20 years of administrative experience with companies such as Petroquímica General Mosconi, Exprinter Banco and Banco Republica among others.
Tom Ebbern
Managing Director, Investment Banking
Mr. Ebbern joined Tristone in September 2002 and is currently Managing Director of Investment Banking. His transaction experience includes conventional oil and gas, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, energy technology and oil sands. Previous to investment banking, Mr. Ebbern was a senior oil and gas analyst for 10 years with the most recent position of Managing Director of Research at Tristone. Prior to being an energy research analyst, he spent 15 years with three Canadian energy companies in roles including exploration geophysics, business development, energy marketing, midstream development, and project financing.
Mr. Ebbern holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering (Geophysics) from Queens University and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Ebbern is a director of Wellspring Calgary (a cancer support centre) and is a volunteer on the Major Giving Committee of the Calgary United Way.
David M. Vetters
Managing Director, Investment Banking
Mr. Vetters joined Tristone as a Managing Director in Investment Banking in July 2005. Prior thereto, he spent nine years at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc and National Bank Financial Inc. His experience has been focused on the energy sector and includes transactions for oil and gas producers and royalty trusts, oil and gas service companies, electric and pipeline utilities, and mining companies. Mr. Vetters' transactional experience includes leading numerous equity and debt financings, merger and acquisition assignments and reorganizations and several restructuring assignments.
Prior to BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Mr. Vetters spent three years with Price Waterhouse with work focused on audit and consulting assignments for oil and gas producers and various non-oil and gas clients. Mr. Vetters is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Thomas E. MacInnis
Managing Director, Investment Banking
An original founder of Tristone, Mr. MacInnis focuses on corporate mergers and acquisitions, asset transactional activity, capital raising, and strategic advice for both public and private Canadian energy companies. Mr. MacInnis' transactional expertise and experience includes leading a wide variety of merger and acquisition, asset divestiture, strategic direction, and equity capital financings. Mr. MacInnis was previously an investment banker at a Canadian national investment firm and prior thereto a member of the merchant banking team at an energy focused investment management and merchant banking firm. Mr. MacInnis holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary's University, a Petroleum Engineering degree from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Arun Chandrasekaran
Vice President, Investment Banking
Mr. Chandrasekaran joined Tristone as an Associate in Investment Banking in September 2006. Prior to joining Tristone, he was with National Bank Financial's Corporate and Investment Banking Division and has also served as an Oil and Gas Analyst for Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. Mr. Chandrasekaran holds a Bachelor of Commerce Cooperative Education degree from the University of Alberta where he graduated with Distinction and as a member of the Dean's List.
Josh Woitas
Principal, Investment Banking
Mr. Woitas joined Tristone in May 2005 and is currently an associate in the Investment Banking department. Mr. Woitas holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Commerce with specializations in Finance, International Business and Risk Management. Mr.Woitas was also recognized as a four time Academic All Canadian athlete while serving as Co-Captain of the University of Calgary men's hockey team.
Matt Jenkins
Associate, Investment Banking
Mr. Jenkins joined Tristone as an Associate in Investment Banking in August 2008. Prior to joining Tristone, he was an Associate with National Bank Financial's Corporate and Investment Banking Division in Calgary. His experience has been focused in the energy sector and includes advisory work for trusts, producers and service companies.
Mr. Jenkins is level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business with a major in finance. While at the University of Calgary, Mr. Jenkins was a four time Academic All Canadian with the men’s hockey team and served as an elected member of the Student Legislative Council.
Evan Morton

Mr. Morton joined Tristone's Investment Banking Group in May 2007. Mr. Morton graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, specializing in Finance. While at Dalhousie he earned Academic All-Canadian honours and was awarded the D.C. Mackay Award for Money Management. He is a CFA candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program and has passed the level 1 exam.
Andrew Osborne

Mr. Osborne joined Tristone in January of 2008, and is currently an analyst in the Investment Banking department. Mr. Osborne graduated from the University of Calgary's, Haskayne School of Business in 2007, with a concentration in Finance. He is currently enrolled as a Level I candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Osborne managed his own custom home building business, building spec homes in Calgary's inner city.
Matthew Kielbasinski

Mr. Kielbasinski joined Tristone's Investment Banking group in June of 2008. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Kielbasinski worked in the Investment Valuations department for a Boston-based Financial Services firm.
Mr. Kielbasinski graduated with distinction from McMaster University’s, DeGroote School of Business in 2008, with a concentration in Finance. He is currently enrolled as a Level 2 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
Ian van Staalduinen

Mr. van Staalduinen has over seventeen years of technical experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, Mr. van Staalduinen headed up his own engineering consulting firm focusing primarily on acquisitions. Prior thereto, he was Vice President of a engineering consulting group and Chief Operating Officer of a Canadian oil and gas service company. He previously spent 10 years with a senior Canadian producer in a variety of roles including reservoir engineering, economic evaluations, exploration engineering, as well as acquisitions and dispositions.
Mr. van Staalduinen holds a Bachelor Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
Daniel P. Gatto
Principal, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. Gatto joined Tristone in 2001. Prior to Tristone, Mr. Gatto was a senior geologist at a mid-sized Canadian producer in the Business Development group. Mr. Gatto was responsible for generating and evaluating corporate and asset acquisition opportunities as well as divestiture and rationalization programs. Mr. Gatto has 29 years of experience as a Petroleum Geologist both as an independent consultant and with several Canadian E&P companies. In addition to the diverse Western Canadian exploration and business development background, is project experience in South America, Southern Europe, North Africa, Canadian Beaufort Sea / Mackenzie Valley as well as Unconventional reservoirs.
Mr. Gatto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calgary.
Todd Keenan

Mr. Keenan joined Tristone's acquisitions and divestitures department in 2007. Prior to joining Tristone, he worked as a simulation engineer for a reservoir engineering consulting company. Mr. Keenan graduated with distinction from Queen's University with a degree in Engineering Physics and is currently finishing his Masters of Engineering degree at the University of Calgary specializing in Multidisciplinary Reservoir Characterization.
Wendy Smith Low
Principal, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Ms. Smith Low joined Tristone in 2002, from a Canadian oil and gas service company where she served as a Vice President and an Officer. Prior thereto Ms. Smith Low spent 7 years with a senior Canadian E&P company in a number of exploration engineering and research capacities. Ms. Smith Low holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary.
Louie A. Marchesin
Principal, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. Marchesin joined Tristone in July 2004. With over 25 years of upstream oil and gas experience in Western Canada, Mr. Marchesin has held technical, consulting and management positions with intermediate to major producers. His diverse engineering experience and knowledge covers the areas of production engineering, operations, completions, exploitation, development, evaluations, and acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Marchesin holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Alberta, is a registered professional engineer, a member of the CIM and is involved with the Calgary-Chinook Scout Foundation.
Steve Woima
Principal, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Steve Woima joined Tristone in June 2006. Most recently Mr. Woima was VP Exploration of a private exploration company. Mr. Woima has over 14 years of oil and gas exploration experience with primarily junior to major independent exploration and production companies. Mr. Woima has been a successful prospect generator and evaluator with a strong track record of finding oil and gas in Western Canada. Mr. Woima holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calgary.
Cliff A. Johnson

Mr. Johnson joined Tristone in September 2003 as an analyst in Investment Banking. In June 2006 he transferred to Tristone's Acquisitions and Divestitures group. Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Calgary where he specialized in Finance.

Ms. Kennedy has 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including several senior Canadian and US exploration and production companies. Ms. Kennedy holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.

Emma O'Marr joined Tristone's Acquisitions and Divestitures group in October 2007 from a private exploration company. Ms. O'Marr has 18 years of exploration experience in the oil and gas industry working primarily as a Geological Technologist for small to intermediate Canadian companies. Ms. O'Marr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Calgary.

Ms Ward joined Tristone in 2004 as an Associate, Acquisition and Divestitures. Ms Ward has 15 years experience as an Operations Technologist with Junior E & P companies and holds a Petroleum Technology Diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Shelly Hopp

Shelly Hopp joined Tristone in 2002. Prior to Tristone she spent eight years with a publicly traded oil and gas service company. Ms. Hopp has developed skills in data management and technical document development. Ms. Hopp is an active volunteer with The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Ms. Vogel joined the Tristone A&D Group in March 2005. She gained experience in the oil and gas industry as an assistant in an oil and gas research firm and in corporate finance. Ms. Vogel has completed both the Geology and Engineering Technician programs at SAIT.
Kelly Wylie

Ms. Wylie joined Tristone's A&D team in 2004. Ms. Wylie brings with her over 13 years of executive assistant experience, 9 years at an advertising agency and has now worked in the oil and gas industry for over 4 years. Ms. Wylie is a Senior Associate on the International Agriculture Committee for the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. She has served over 8 years on the committee and continues to be actively involved with the Calgary Stampede.
Chase Edgelow

Mr. Edgelow joined Tristone in September 2008. Prior thereto, Mr. Edgelow worked in the upstream segment of a major Canadian integrated oil and gas company. In his previous experience he worked in the areas of facilities project engineering and production engineering for a Canadian junior oil company with exploration operations in Russia.
Mr. Edgelow holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics with distinction from Queen's University.
David M. Vankka

Mr. Vankka joined Tristone in September, 2002 as Managing Director, Institutional Trading. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Peters & Co. Limited, a Canadian energy investment bank. During his time at Peters & Co., the company was one of Canada's most active traders of oil and gas securities. Mr. Vankka was most recently Co-Head, Institutional Trading and preceded that as Principal, Corporate Finance.
Mr. Vankka is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Calgary.
Andrew Abbott
Managing Director, Institutional Trading
Mr. Abbott joined Tristone in May 2002 as Managing Director, Institutional Trading. He was previously Vice President - Trading responsible for setting up the institutional trading department at Acumen Capital Partners. Prior to Acumen, Mr. Abbott was an institutional trader at Newcrest Capital Inc. and Peters & Co. Limited. He began his career in Toronto in 1986 and spent 9 years working as an institutional trader for Canagex, McNeil Mantha and Merrill Lynch Canada.

Christopher U. Maurer

Mr. Maurer joined the firm in October 2003 as part of the Institutional Trading Team. Mr. Maurer came to Tristone from BMO Nesbitt Burns, a Canadian national investment firm. Previously, he was employed at Talisman Energy Inc, an independent upstream oil and gas company, as a member of their Canadian operations strategy group. In March 2008, after almost 5 years of trading North American equity markets, Mr. Maurer relocated to our London office to help build out our European Sales/Trading business.
Mr. Maurer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with distinction, from the University of Calgary where he specialized in Finance. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and holds his Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation. He has completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
Robert F. Colcleugh

Before joining Tristone in September of 2002, Mr. Colcleugh ran Duke Energy's power marketing business in the de-regulated Ontario electricity market. Previously, Mr. Colcleugh managed Duke's Canadian energy merchant banking business which focused on investing in oil and gas producers and properties. Before Duke, Mr. Colcleugh spent 2 years with a private boutique merchant banking firm structuring and investing resource flow -through limited partnerships. Prior thereto, Mr. Colcleugh worked at the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.

Warren G. Robinson

Mr. Robinson joined Tristone in October 2003 as Vice President, Institutional Sales. Before joining Tristone, he worked in the institutional sales division of TD Newcrest/Newcrest Capital for four years. Prior to that, Mr. Robinson spent two years working for Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Ltd., an institutional equity firm.
Kelly Grosky

Mr. Grosky joined Tristone Capital Inc. in March 2002. Prior to Tristone, he was Vice-President, Operations and Chief Compliance Officer at a boutique Canadian Investment firm. Prior thereto, Mr. Grosky spent five years at RBC Dominion Securities and TD Securities in various trading capacities.
Mr. Grosky holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and a Fellowship awarded by the Canadian Securities Institute. Mr. Grosky has represented Canada internationally as a member of National Volleyball Team and professionally as a player in the European leagues.
Kerk Hilton

Mr. Hilton joined Tristone in May 2006 in institutional sales. Prior to joining the firm, he spent the last three years at Canetic Resources Trust where he was employed as Director, Investor Relations, through its growth from a $400 million market capitalization to approximately $5 billion. He began his career in Canada's oil and gas industry in 1994 with the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, and has also served in senior investor relations capacities at Prudential Steel Ltd. and Enserco Energy Service Co. Ltd., both which were acquired by U.S. competitors. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Mount Royal College.
Shane Dungey
Principal, Institutional Trading
Mr. Dungey joined Tristone in August 2008 as Principal, Institutional Trading. Prior to joining Tristone he spent seven years as a Senior Equity Trader at AEGON Capital Management, responsible for trading Canadian and International equities while managing the passive investment mandates. Prior to AEGON Mr. Dungey was in Institutional Sales at a CI Funds in Toronto.
Mr. Dungey holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from York University and is currently pursuing his Chartered Market Technician designation. Prior to pursuing a career in Capital Markets Mr. Dungey played professional hockey in Europe and the US.
Eric Bruce

Mr. Bruce joined Tristone in March 2007 as Associate, Institutional Trading. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Bruce worked for TD Waterhouse in a retail trading capacity for high value clients. Preceding TD Waterhouse, Mr. Bruce worked as a Proprietary Equity Trader for an international day trading firm. Mr. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge and is a candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
Michael Rayton
Associate, Institutional Sales
Mr. Rayton joined Tristone as an Investment Advisor with the private client group in November 2005, and has recently moved to the Institutional Sales group. Prior to that, he spent 5 years in the private client division at RBC Dominion Securities Inc. where he specialized in complete portfolio management with a primary focus on the energy industry. Mr. Rayton now focuses exclusively on the global energy sector and is committed to providing our institutional clients with the most comprehensive energy investment advice.
Mr. Rayton has a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Calgary and holds the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Christopher Theal
Managing Director, Institutional Research
Mr. Theal joined Tristone in September 2002 and is responsible for institutional equity research. Prior to Tristone, he was a research analyst at CIBC World Markets Inc. for four years. Prior to CIBC, Mr. Theal was a corporate analyst for a major Canadian integrated oil and gas company. Mr. Theal was previously an officer in the Canadian Navy and is decorated with the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal for UN service abroad.
Mr. Theal has a Bachelor's degree, with distinction, in Economics and Political Science from Royal Roads Military College and an M.B.A. degree from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Theal is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Calgary Branch of the RMC Club of Canada.
Chris Feltin
Vice President & Director, Institutional Research
Prior to joining Tristone in 2004, Mr. Feltin was employed as a project management consultant for several senior Canadian oil and gas producers. Mr. Feltin has had various technical roles in the upstream energy industry including production, field operations and reservoir engineering. He has previously acted as an executive member of the Heavy Oil section of the Petroleum Society of CIM.
Mr. Feltin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Systems Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGGA. He also holds an MBA from Queen's University with a finance specialization.
Don Rawson
Managing Director, Institutional Research
Mr. Rawson joined Tristone in 2003, having gained over 13 years of finance experience from various corporate and corporate advisory roles. Most recently, Mr. Rawson acted as a consultant to the target in a major Canadian M&A transaction, assisting in the conversion of the target into a Trust. Prior thereto, Mr. Rawson held senior roles in corporate development and planning at a senior Canadian producer and a global diversified company, focused on M&A activities. Previously, he worked in investment banking and capital markets for five years at Nesbitt Burns in Calgary and Toronto.
Mr. Rawson holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction from the University of Alberta, and an M.B.A with Honors from the University of Chicago.
Cristina Lopez

Ms. Lopez joined Tristone in 2004. Her most recent duties include the coverage of the Royalty Trust sector. Prior thereto, Ms. Lopez worked at a Canadian Investment Bank as an Institutional Research Associate with responsibilities in aiding in the coverage of various Oil & Gas Producers and Oil & Gas Service Companies.
Ms. Lopez holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Calgary. Ms. Lopez is a Chartered Financial Analyst chartholder.
Leon Knight

David Popowich

David joined Tristone in February 2006 as an Institutional Research Associate. Prior to that, he was employed as a Geologist with a senior Canadian producer, gaining exploration experience with a variety of plays in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Jan Cerny

Mr. Cerny joined Tristone in June 2006 as a Research Associate to initiate the company's oilfield services research practice in Canada. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Cerny was an Institutional Research Associate with Peters & Co., specializing in the Oilfield Services Sector. Prior thereto, Mr. Cerny articled with Ernst and Young in the Corporate Audit and Assurance Group focusing on the energy sector.

Ray Kwan

Mr. Kwan joined Tristone in April of 2007 as an Institutional Research Associate. Prior thereto, Mr. Kwan spent close to 4 years working in various technical roles in the downstream energy sector including operations, process design, and project engineering. Mr. Kwan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, with Distinction, from the University of Alberta and is a registered Professional Engineer in Training with APEGGA. Jeff Janzen

Mr. Janzen joined Tristone in September 2007 as an Institutional Research Associate. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Janzen worked for 4 years in the upstream portion of a large US integrated Oil and Gas Company in various planning and financial roles. Ms. Liu joined Tristone in August 2008 as an Institutional Research Associate. Prior thereto, she spent nearly two years at ARC Financial Corp. as a junior investment analyst in the Oil & Gas group.

Wael Halaoui

Mr. Mosby joined Tristone Capital in March of 2003 as an Investment Advisor for the Private Client Group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mosby was employed at RBC Dominion Securities where he specialized in the Oil & Gas sector and alternative investments. While at RBC, he built a very successful business offering his clients a wide variety of investment products including portfolio management, life insurance and retirement planning. Mr. Mosby provides access to Institutional Research & Trading as well as various investment opportunities including new issues of both public and private companies and flow-through share offerings to our retail clientele.
Mr. Mosby is also involved in minor hockey in various capacities from coaching to fundraising for local teams and tournaments.
Peter Dunham
Investment Advisor, Private Client Group
Mr. Dunham joined Tristone Capital in September 2004 as Investment Advisor in the Private Client Group. Prior to Tristone, Mr. Dunham was an Investment Advisor for 3 years with an independent Canadian Investment dealer focusing on the oil and gas sector. Mr. Dunham holds a Bachelors degree in Economics with a concentration in Applied Energy and is currently working towards a designation as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI)
Jamie Wiemer
Associate, Private Client Group
Ms. Wiemer joined Tristone in June 2005. Prior to Tristone, she spent 3 years as a sales assistant in the private client division of an independent investment dealer. Ms. Wiemer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction from the University of Alberta.
Michael O. Kehler
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Kehler joined Tristone in May of 2002. Mr. Kehler was Chief Financial Officer of an emerging national investment dealer where he was active in investment banking activities. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Kehler was the Chief Financial Officer of a telecommunications company in Calgary, focused on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to 1999, Mr. Kehler held various positions over a seven year period with a major international accounting firm culminating in the position of Senior Manager - Corporate Finance.
Mr. Kehler holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has the designations of Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Financial Analyst.
Lynn Tsutsumi
Vice President Finance
Ms. Tsutsumi joined Tristone in January 2007. Prior to joining Tristone, Ms. Tsutsumi was the Manager, Financial Compliance at the Investment Dealers Association of Canada. For almost six years prior to joining the IDA, Ms. Tsutsumi was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of a Canadian boutique brokerage firm, where she was also involved in investment banking activity. Ms. Tsutsumi obtained her Chartered Accounting designation with Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants in 1994, and commenced her securities industry career at the Alberta Stock Exchange in 1995, where she was responsible for financial and sales compliance, as well as corporate finance regulation.
Mary Leigh McRiane
Office Manager & Human Resources Administrator
Ms. McRiane joined Tristone in May 2008 as Office Manager & Human Resources Administrator. Prior to joining Tristone Ms. McRiane was at Raymond James for 14 years culminating in her title as Branch Administrator and Executive Assistant, Managing a staff of 85 people. Prior to Raymond James, Ms. McRiane was at McDermid St. Lawrence, a boutique trading firm specializing in Junior Capital Pools and venture trading. Prior thereto Ms. McRiane was at CIBC Wood Gundy as a Sales Assistant and then as Branch Administrator overseeing a group of 75 employees. Ms. McRiane started her industry experience with First Marathon Securities in 1989 and has called Calgary home for the last 20 years.
Hinson Ng
Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Ng joined Tristone in October 2005. Prior to Tristone, Mr. Ng spent five years as a Senior Investigator with the Investment Dealers Association. Prior to that role Mr. Ng was a Compliance Officer with CIBC World Markets and prior thereto was a Registered Options Representative with CIBC Investor Services. Mr. Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary.
Rita Sivadas
Manager, Operations
Rita Sivadas joined Tristone Capital in May 2002, as Operations Manager. Prior to that, she spent over seven years at Peters & Co Limited with the Syndication & Operation Department.
Kathy Tiberio
Business Manager
Ms. Tiberio was one of the first employees at Tristone, joining in September 2000, and bringing with her 20 years experience. Prior to joining Tristone, Ms. Tiberio was Business Manager for Rob Peters' group of companies and Event Planner for Peters & Co. Ltd. From 1995 to 1997 Ms. Tiberio worked with the Investment Banking area of Yorkton Securities assisting in due diligence for company financings and before joining Yorkton she set up the Calgary office for Marleau Lemire Securities.
Lita Chan

Lita joined Tristone Capital as a Senior Accountant. She spent 2 years with a transfer agent and registrar company as Account Manager. Prior to that, Lita has 4 years of management consulting experiences with various consulting companies in Singapore. She has also spent 7 years in the area of audit, sales operations and business finance with Compaq Computer. Lita holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) with a major in Finance and Accounting from Simon Fraser University.
Mario Vasquez
Senior Accountant
Mr. Vasquez joined Tristone in January 2007 as a Senior Accountant. Prior to joining Tristone Mr. Vasquez worked in several companies in Accounting and Finances fields in North and South America bringing with him more than 6 years of experience. Mr. Vasquez was a Financial Analyst in the National Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA), one of the biggest in the world. Prior to that, he was Senior Auditor in Price Waterhouse & Coopers where he worked within many companies in the utilities and energy sector. Mr. Vasquez holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Catholic University in Caracas Venezuela and a Master in Business Administration with specialization in Finances.

Ms. Sookerukoff joined Tristone Capital in March of 2007. She brings with her 10 years of accounting experience.

Mr. Williams joined Tristone as a Managing Director in Investment Banking in October 2007. Prior to joining Tristone Mr. Williams spent over eight years with Simmons & Company International. His transaction experience has been focused on advising oil and gas services companies having executed numerous merger and acquisition assignments and financings for clients in the United States and Canada.
Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Jon Goddard

Mr. Goddard joined Tristone Capital Houston office in March 2007. Prior to Tristone, he was an Senior Vice President in Friedman Billings Ramsey's Energy Investment Banking Group. At FBR Mr. Goddard was involved in originating and executing over $2 billion in public and private capital markets and advisory transactions for E&P, midstream, and alternative energy clients. Prior to FBR, he was VP Finance at a small pipeline development company. Prior to that, he worked in the energy investment banking group at CIBC World Markets where he was involved in multiple equity, debt, and advisory assignments for the E&P, oilfield service, and midstream sectors. Mr. Goddard received his B.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Vaibhav (Vebs) Vaishnav

Vebs Vaishnav joined Tristone Capital as an Associate in Investment Banking in April 2008. Prior to Tristone Capital, he worked at RBC Capital Markets as an Oil Services Equity Research Associate. Before that, Mr. Vaishnav worked at JPMorgan in their Oil Services Corporate Banking group.
Mr. Vaishnav holds a Masters in Business Administration degree with concentration in Finance from University of Houston.
Rob Bilger
Managing Director - Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. Bilger began his oil and gas career with Marathon Oil after earning a BSBA degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Business. He was Executive Vice President, CFO and Director of Samson Investment Company from 1999-2001 and held the same title with Ashland Exploration from 1987-1998. Mr. Bilger was Director of Acquisitions for Apache Corporation from 1984-1987. He has directed the negotiations and closings of more than $12 billion of acquisitions and divestitures during his career.
Mr. Bilger is a member of IPAA and its Business Development and CFO Roundtables, as well as being a member of TIPRO, the Houston Producers' Forum, and on the Board of Directors of IPAMS.
David Hopkins
Vice President, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. Hopkins joined Tristone Capital in 2003. He has over 30 years of diversified experience in all phases of the oil and gas industry including reservoir engineering, exploration, drilling and production operations and strategic planning. He began his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Houston Oil and Minerals Corporation in 1976 and later held various technical and management positions with Tenneco Oil, Apache Corporation and EnerVest Management Co., where he was Division Manager and later Senior Vice President of Operations from 1996 to 2000. More recently, Mr. Hopkins’ experience has been more focused on acquisitions and divestitures. Before joining Tristone he served as Vice President - Acquisition Evaluations with Xpronet Resources, where he led the acquisition evaluation efforts for that company from 2001 to 2002.
Since joining Tristone Capital, Mr. Hopkins has worked in various transaction manager and technical lead roles that have been instrumental in the closing of over $6 billion in transactions in the Gulf Coast, Permian Basin, East Texas, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain areas.
Mr. Hopkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering with honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 1975 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Houston Producers' Forum and Houston Chapter of API.
Miles C. Redfield
Managing Director, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. Redfield joined Tristone in May 2004, with over 14 years of petroleum engineering, finance and acquisition and divestiture experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Redfield founded and co-managed Wells Fargo Energy Advisors having closed over $550 MM in transaction during his three year tenure. Mr. Redfield spent three years with GE Capital where he gained experience associated with oil and gas equity and debt financing. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Redfield acted as a senior member of BP Amoco's Acquisition and Divestment Group closing over $1.1B in transactions. Prior to getting an MBA, Mr. Redfield worked for Chevron USA and Kaiser Francis Oil Company in various petroleum engineering roles.
Mr. Redfield holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Tulsa and a M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas.
Douglas D. Perley

Mr. Perley joined Tristone in May 2004. Mr. Perley has over 20 years of economics and acquisition and divestiture experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Perley founded and co-managed Wells Fargo Energy Advisors having closed over $550 MM in transaction during his three year tenure. From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Perley acted as a senior member of BP Amoco's Acquisition and Divestment Group closing over $1.8 B in deals. Earlier in his career at Amoco, Mr. Perley held various financial analyst positions including treasury and economic evaluation of international projects since 1982.
Mr. Perley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University and a MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
D. Bruce Cox
Vice President & Director, A&D
Mr. Cox has more than 25 years of oil and gas technical experience, focused on reservoir engineering studies in the U.S. and internationally. He began his career with Exxon in 1981 upon graduation from Louisiana State University. During his nine years with Exxon, he was a Reservoir Engineer, a Drilling Engineer, and finally a Senior Staff Engineer for the Reservoir Technology New Ventures Group. Mr. Cox joined Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. in 1990, holding the position of Senior Vice President where he successfully managed and oversaw integrated reserve and resource studies, including oil and gas property appraisal, reserve certifications and resource assessments. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
Jerry Gips
Vice President, Geology
Jerry Gips has over 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including employment at Texaco and Bartling Oil Company. In 2000 he joined Tristone Capital after working 18 years as a consulting geologist. Since 1997 he has worked on A&D projects with experience in most major producing basins including the Rocky Mountain, Permian and Panhandle, as well as in the Gulf Coast, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and offshore Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Gips was awarded a patent for the use of CO2 to recover hydrocarbons from groundwater. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Texas, is a licensed geologist in the State of Texas and is an active member of AAPG, HGS, the Houston Producer’s Forum and West University Rotary Club.
Kevin McNichol
Vice President, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mr. McNichol joined Tristone Capital in 2006. Mr. McNichol has 25 years of varied experience in the E&P industry. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. McNichol was a partner in Hite, McNichol & Associates, Inc., an established engineering consulting firm in Houston. As a consultant Mr. McNichol's clients included major E&P companies, independents, financial institutions, law firms and large landowners. He has over 15 years experience in acquisitions and divestitures including marketing assets for clients, advising buyers, evaluating exploration ventures and issuing fair market value opinions. Mr. McNichol began his career with Amoco Production Company as a production and reservoir engineer with an emphasis on tight gas sands and secondary recovery. In 1989, Mr. McNichol joined Cox & Perkins Exploration as lead reservoir engineer with a focus on Gulf Coast and Austin Chalk exploration. Mr. McNichol later joined the consulting firm that was predecessor to Hite, McNichol & Associates, Inc. and was named partner in 1999.
Mr. McNichol earned a B. S. in Geological Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1981. He continued his education with Amoco in-house training and business studies at University of Houston. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Houston Producers Forum and is a past officer of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. Mr. McNichol is Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Tom Andreen
Senior Engineer Advisor, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Tom Andreen joined Tristone Capital in February 2003, and has more than 30 years of experience in petroleum engineering activities. Prior to joining Tristone Capital, Mr. Andreen worked in various aspects of drilling, production and reservoir engineering. His experience includes analysis of conventional oil and gas properties, as well as expertise in non-conventional assets including coal bed methane, shale gas, tight gas, waterfloods, and CO2 floods. While at Tristone Capital, Mr. Andreen has worked numerous areas and has expertise in the Mid-Continent, Permian, Gulf Coast, South Texas, East Texas, North Louisiana and Rocky Mountains.
Mr. Andreen is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Jim Coe
Senior Engineer, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Jim Coe started his career in the petroleum industry in 1970 as a reservoir engineer. Mr. Coe has analyzed natural drive reservoirs, waterfloods, miscible floods and is experienced with field development in both conventional and low permeability reservoirs. His experience includes most geologic environments, including deltaic, shoreline, continental, shallow water, deep water, and thrust belts as well as a variety of geographic locations including the Gulf of Mexico, Rocky Mountains, Southeast U.S., West Texas, Canada, North Sea, South Africa and Venezuela.
Mr. Coe joined Tristone Capital in 2006. He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Doug Cowan
Senior Geologist, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Doug Cowan joined Tristone Capital in 2005. He has over 35 years of domestic oil and gas experience which includes 20 years with Pennzoil and Total. He later worked as an independent consultant and served as Regional Exploration Manager (Enstar) and has participated in drilling over 1,000 wells in his career.
Mr. Cowan has worked East Texas, North Louisiana and the Gulf Coast producing trends as a geologist and geophysicist in exploration, lease sales, prospect generation, development drilling, unconventional reserves analysis and A&D. He also has exposure to the Ft. Worth, Anadarko, Arkoma and Williston basins. Mr. Cowan is fluent in Geographix, Kingdom and Petra.
Mr. Cowan has a BA in Geology from Trinity University, 2 years of graduate school at New Mexico Tech and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, International Association of Mathematical Geologists, Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts, Canadian Well Logging Society and the Houston Geological Society.
Terry Davidson
Senior Geologist, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Terry Davidson has 35 years of diversified experience in all phases of petroleum geology. Prior to joining Tristone Capital in 2006, he worked for El Paso/Coastal Corporation, Western Geophysical, American Trading and Production, Comexco and C&K Petroleum. His experience includes exploration plays, field development and property A&D, detailed structural and sand trend mapping, and production type maps utilizing subsurface and geophysical methods.
Mr. Davidson is a registered Professional Geologist with the State of Texas. He has a BS in Geology from the University of Houston and a MAG in Resource and Environmental Management from Southwest Texas State University. He is a Certified Petroleum Geologist through the American Association of Petroleum Geologist and the American Institute of Professional Geologist and an active member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicist and the Houston Geological Society.
Robin Gaines

Robin Gaines joined Tristone Capital in March 2007 and has 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Tristone Capital, Ms. Gaines spent 11 years at Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. as a Petroleum Analyst Coordinator where she specialized in the management and development of economic models for US and international oil and gas properties, database manipulation and technical document generation, editing and standardization.
Ms. Gaines graduated with honors from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
Philip Pavlich
Senior Engineer, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Philip Pavlich joined Tristone Capital in August 2005 and has 29 years experience in petroleum engineering. Prior joining Tristone Capital, Philip worked at Tri-Union Development and Atasca Resources as a reservoir and operations engineer. His assignments included projects with secondary recovery operations, identifying A&D related upside opportunities, and implementing drilling and workover projects. While at Tristone Capital he has been the lead engineer on assignments in the Rockies, Oklahoma, Permian Basin, Panhandle, Gulf Coast, and offshore Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Pavlich is a registered professional engineer in Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He has a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas and an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Houston.
Jane Reiss
Senior Geologist, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Jane Reiss has 37 years experience as a Petroleum Geologist in exploration and development geology and geophysics. She has worked as a senior geologist for Tristone Capital since June of 2003. Ms. Reiss has worked in both technical and management positions with major and independent oil and gas companies. Her responsibilities have included prospect generation, field development, reserve calculations, wellsite evaluation, seismic acquisition and interpretation, oil and gas expert witness testimony, and A&D. Ms. Reiss has worked A&D in the onshore and offshore Gulf Coast, East Texas, South Texas, Anadarko Basin, Texas Panhandle and Permian Basin.
Ms. Reiss is a certified professional geologist in the State of Texas and a member of numerous professional societies. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Indiana University.
Natalie Synnott
Associate, Acquisitions & Divestitures
Mrs. Synnott joined Tristone in June 2007. Mrs. Synnott has over seven years of experience in acquisition and divestiture transaction execution. Prior to re-joining Tristone, Mrs. Synnott was an Associate at LaSalle Corporate Finance, where she focused on sell-side transaction advisory across multiple industries, and, prior to that, she was an Associate with Wells Fargo Energy Advisors, where she focused on oil and gas property divestitures. Mrs. Synnott began her career as a Financial Analyst at Enron Corp. Mrs. Synnott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University. She is a member of the Junior League of Houston and is a DePelchin Children's Center Volunteer.
Jim Zavitsky

Jim Zavitsky has 21 years oil and gas experience. He has been with Tristone Capital since March of 2000. Mr. Zavitsky has previously worked for Amoco Production Company in a variety of assignments including both conventional (primary and secondary) and enhanced recovery projects (CO2 Flooding). Mr. Zavitsky has worked A&D in most major basins including the Rocky Mountain, Mid-Continent, Permian, Panhandle, and Gulf Coast as well as a number of coalbed methane packages in the Powder River and Cherokee Basins.
Mr. Zavitsky is a registered professional engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He has a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
Doug Rogers

Doug Rogers joined Tristone Capital in 2008 after working five years for ExxonMobil as a reservoir engineer. He worked a variety of assignments and gained experience including reserves analysis, field development and economics, lease negotiation, and scoping-level simulation. Assignments were in south Texas, California, and various locations onshore and offshore in the Middle East and Eurasia.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2003. In 2008 he graduated from the University of Texas with a Masters degree in Business Administration.

Tyler Davis
Managing Director, Institutional Sales
Mr. Davis has 28 years of industry experience both with Buy and Sell side institutions. He was also a AVP at Merrill Lynch with primary analyst coverage of the Domestic E&P companies from 1981-1984. Mr.Davis also served as a Managing Director/Partner for Warburg Pincus (now CSAM), Beck Mack and Oliver, and Cowen (now TCW) both as an analyst with primary energy coverage and portfolio manager. Mr. Davis was a SVP at Trust Company of the West on the small cap value team. He further managed 1988's #1 performing closed-end mutual fund, Counsellors Tandem Fund, as rated by the Lipper Survey. Mr. Davis was a past member of National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts (NAPIA) and the Oil Analyst Group of New York. Mr. Davis graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in Mathematics and Geology in 1979.

Ms. Acierno joined Tristone in January 2007. Prior to Tristone, she spent ten years as an institutional salesperson and equity sales trader with Petrie Parkman & Co., a well-respected energy boutique. In all she has over 20 years of energy-related experience including Vice President of Investor Relations for Basin Exploration and was a member of Apache Corp.'s Investor Relation's team. She began her career as a research assistant for the E&P sector at PaineWebber.

Mr. Chewning joined Tristone in January 2007 as Vice President, Institutional Trading. Before joining Tristone, Mr. Chewning was an equity sales trader with energy boutique Petrie Parkman & Co. in Denver, Colorado. Prior to that, he was a Vice President with Morgan Keegan & Co. on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, where he worked for six years. Before that, he was employed by HSBC Securities for one year, also at the NYSE. Mr. Chewning began his career working for OppenheimerFunds Inc. in New York, where he worked for four years on the sales desk. Mr. Chewning holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Seton Hall University.

Waqar Syed

Mr. Syed joined Tristone Capital in January 2007 as Vice President and Director to initiate the company's oilfield services research practice in the United States. He joined Tristone from Petrie Parkman & Co. where he had started the oilfield services research practice for the firm in 2002. For his 2006 research coverage, Mr. Syed was ranked number four amongst all analysts and first amongst oilfield services analyst for earnings forecast accuracy by StarMine and Forbes. Mr. Syed has been affiliated with the oil and gas industry for over twenty years, first as a wireline field engineer with Schlumberger oilfield services, and later as an equities analyst with Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Securities. At Schlumberger, he provided formation evaluation and testing services in the Middle East to some of the largest oil and gas companies in the world. At Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Securities, Mr. Syed provided equity coverage on a number of domestic, European and South American oil and gas companies.
Mr. Syed received a M.B.A degree from Yale University and a B.S. degree in Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He is an active member of the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts.

Mr. Stephenson joined Tristone in March 2007. Mr Ashby-Rudd joined Tristone Capital in September 2005 as Executive managing Director of International Operations. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr Ashby-Rudd managed the London operations of Waterous & Co between 2002 and 2005 and was responsible for expanding the business threefold over this time period. Before joining Waterous, Mr Ashby-Rudd spent 12 years working in Energy investment Banking, initially for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and then at Citigroup. Mr Ashby-Rudd has focused throughout his career on the international E&P sector and has significant international experience having worked in Russia, Eastern Europe, the Far East and North America. During this time he has lived in Hong Kong, Australia and the USA which has provided him with a unique insight into the international E&P sector and a diverse international contact base.
Majid Shafiq

Mr Shafiq joined Tristone Capital in September 2005 as Director, Investment Banking. Mr Shafiq joined Tristone after three years with Waterous & Co, where he was a Director responsible for international acquisitions and divestment transactions. Prior to joining Waterous, Mr Shafiq worked for Dynegy Trading in the UK where he was responsible for origination in the European gas markets and acquisitions in the UK gas and power market. Mr Shafiq started his career with Mobil in Europe where he worked for thirteen years in various functions including production and reservoir engineering and commercial roles.
Mr Shafiq holds an honours degree in Nuclear Engineering from Manchester University, a masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from London Business School.
Nick Morgan

Mr Morgan joined Tristone Capital in July 2006 as a Director of Investment Banking. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr Morgan worked at Williams de Broe, providing corporate finance and corporate broking services and advice to companies in the natural resources sector, working on transactions including IPOs, fund raisings, disposals and other M&A based activity. Previously to this, Mr Morgan worked at HSBC Investment Bank as a member of the Growth Companies team providing capital markets and M&A advice to a portfolio of retained clients. Mr Morgan qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC and graduated in Classics from Exeter University.
Chris Beltgens

Mr. Beltgens joined Tristone as an Associate in the Investment Banking department in May 2007. Previously he worked in the global equity research group as a discretionary asset manager. Derek Smith

Mr. Smith joined Tristone's Investment Banking Group in February 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Computer Science degree from Acadia University. Mr. Smith earned Academic All-Canadian honours and was awarded the Cox Medal & Cup, which is awarded annually to the most representative male student on the basis of excellence in intercollegiate athletics, other extracurricular activities and scholarship.

Ben Colegrave

Mr. Colegrave joined Tristone's Investment Banking Group in March 2008. Prior to this, Mr. Colegrave worked for CIBC World Markets, initially on the European Graduate programme, where he gained extensive experience in all front offices, and subsequently he was promoted to an analyst for the Energy group within the Mergers & Acquisitions department. Mr. Colegrave began his career with Barclays Private Clients International as an Investment Manager.

Alessandro Magnani

Mr. Magnani joined Tristone's Investment Banking Group in September 2008. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr. Magnani worked for the Morgan Stanley Securitised Products Group and subsequently worked for the Equity-Linked team within the Global Capital Markets department. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Magnani has been extensively involved in a number of public securitisations of financial assets and principal finance projects in the asset backed space.

Mark W. Llamas

Mr. Llamas joined Tristone Capital in September 2005 as Managing Director, Acquisitions and Divestitures, with responsibility for international A&D transactions. Mr. Llamas joined Tristone after five and a half years with Waterous & Co, where he was a Managing Director of the London operation. Mr. Llamas has led acquisition and divestment projects located in the North Sea, the Middle East, North Africa, West Africa, Onshore Europe,Latin America and South East Asia. Prior to working in the A&D advisory sector, Mr. Llamas gained 14 years of technical experience with Shell, where he held a variety of geological and geophysical roles in both exploration and development teams and as the Lead Geoscientist at a 3D visualization centre located within Imperial College, London University serving both academia and the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Llamas holds an honours degree in Geology and Biology and a Master of Science degree in Sedimentology, both from the University of London.He is a member of the PESGB (Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain) and the EPNG (European Petroleum Negotiators Group).
Rolf Bakker

Mr Bakker joined Tristone Capital in October 2006 as a Director of Acquisitions and Divestitures. Mr Bakker has gained over 20 years of international technical and commercial experience. He worked for Shell in Turkey, The Netherlands, Oman and the United Kingdom in a variety of functions in geology, geophysics and acquisitions & divestitures.
Mr Bakker holds a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE - London Section) and of the European Petroleum Negotiators Group (EPNG). Until end 2007 Mr Bakker was a non-executive Director and board member of the Richmond Fellowship Employment and Training (RFET), part of the Richmond Fellowship Group, one of the biggest providers of mental health care in the United Kingdom.
Scott Urquhart

Mr. Urquhart joined Tristone Capital in June 2007 as Associate, Acquisitions and Divestitures. Mr. Urquhart joined Tristone after three years with Pengrowth Corporation where he was a Reservoir Engineer responsible for evaluation and execution of development opportunities. Mr. Urquhart started his career with Schlumberger where he was a Field Engineer in their Well Services division. Paul Chernik

Mr. Chernik joined Tristone Capital in April 2009 as Associate, Acquisitions and Divestitures. Mr. Chernik joined Tristone after 4 years with GLJ Petroleum Consultants, based out of Calgary Canada. There, he worked as a Reservoir Engineer in the International Group, specializing in reserve and resource evaluation. Mr. Chernik started his career with Jacobs Canada Inc., where he worked on the process design of the UE-1 oil sands upgrader located in Alberta, Canada.
Mr. Chernik is a registered Canadian Professional Engineer with APEGGA (Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta). He holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary. He is also a member of the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) and the Petroleum Society of Canada.
Anna McAleer
Data-Room Manager, Acquisitions and Divestitures
Ms McAleer joined Tristone in October 2007 as Data Room Administrator for Acquisition and Divestitures. Ms McAleer has 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Shell, based in Aberdeen, delivering multiple data rooms for the A&D team. Ms McAleer has an extensive industry track record delivering data rooms for mature assets as well as exploration opportunities. Assets divested include Kittiwake, Auk, Fulmar, Tern, Eider, Cormorant, Montrose, Arbroath and Curlew in the North Sea. Ms McAleer also has led data rooms internationally for opportunities in Norway and the Netherlands, and has transaction process experience in Egypt, Hong Kong and the Gulf of Mexico.
Ms McAleer holds a Diploma in Business Administration.
Barbara Murray

Ms. Murray joined Tristone Capital in September 2008 as Associate, Acquisitions and Divestitures. Ms. Murray joined Tristone from Challenge Energy Ltd. where she was a Geoscientist assisting clients with commercial and technical solutions in both the upstream and downstream segments of the Oil & Gas industry. Ms. Murray started her career with the Petroleum Affairs Division of the Irish government where she was a Geologist in their technical department. Ms. Murray holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She is also a member of the London section of the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) and the PESGB (Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain).
Charles Lesser
Managing Director, Institutional Sales
Mr. Lesser joined Tristone Capital in June 2006 as Managing Director, Institutional Sales. He joined from UBS, where he was Director, European energy equities. He spent the previous eight years in the oil and gas equity research team. His team became Europe's number one oil and gas research team (Reuters, Exte, etc), and was voted the number one equity team across any industry in Europe. Mr. Lesser's expertise is in mid-cap equities, and with hedge funds and global investors. Mr. Lesser holds a Masters degree from Cambridge University.
Dr. Christopher G M Grudniewicz

Dr. Grudniewicz joined Tristone Capital in December 2005 as Director, Institutional Sales within International Capital Markets. Following a brief period at BP, he joined the financial sector, training as an equity analyst in the oil & gas sector and progressively migrating to a sector research marketing role. He has worked exclusively in the energy sector and has strong and long-standing relationships with a broad spectrum of European investors. Dr. Grudniewicz joined Tristone Capital after seventeen years at Merrill Lynch and predecessor firms, followed by some 5 years at ABN AMRO.
Dr. Grudniewicz holds a First in Mathematics from London University and a PhD in Differential Equation Theory from the same College.
Adrian Penny

Mr. Penny joined Tristone in August 2005 with more than 30 years of experience in the energy and banking sectors. Prior to joining Tristone, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Sales and Trading at Scotia Capital (formerly Mcleod Young Weir). Mr. Penny's experience has been focused on the energy sector where he integrated the Geneva operation into London upon acquisition in 1996 and developed a trading desk in London that worked in conjunction with its Canadian operations.

Mr. Wellesley joined Tristone Capital in March 2006. He came from broker WH Ireland where he advised and traded for high net worth accounts and London based hedge funds covering the energy and resources sector. Before that Mr. Wellesley ran his own trading office focusing on U.K., Far East and U.S. Prior to that he spent ten years at Merrill Lynch running a trading desk of five individuals who were part of a global proprietary which covered the energy market in the Far East.
Peter Nicol

Mr. Nicol joined Tristone Capital in September 2005 to build the international research, sales and trading capabilities in London. Prior to joining Tristone, Mr Nicol was Global Sector Director for Oil and Gas at ABN AMRO from 1999 to 2005, where he led the oil research into one of the top-rated teams in London. Previously Mr Nicol was Head of European Oil Research at Goldman Sachs (1993-1999) and S.G. Warburg 1988-1993. Mr. Nicol has extensive experience in oil industry privatisations including PetroChina, Petrobras, Repsol, ENI and Total and corporate transactions in the UK E&P sector involving Enterprise Oil, Lasmo and Ultramar. Prior to entering the financial community Mr. Nicol spent 6 years working for the British National Oil Corporation in a variety of commercial roles.
Toby Pierce

Mr. Pierce joined Tristone in May 2004 and is responsible for institutional equity research. His most recent duties include coverage of international companies out of the UK office. More recently he worked as a wellsite geologist over a period of five years for numerous companies across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin on a contract basis. Prior thereto, Mr. Pierce worked for three years across North and Latin America as a geologist in the mining and exploration industry.

Mr. Mirzai joined Tristone in May 2006 and is responsible for institutional equity research, covering international companies out of the London office. After a brief period with Texaco assisting the Joint Interest Properties team in Aberdeen, he worked within the Investment Funds industry as a fund accountant over a period of six years for several companies in Dublin, Luxembourg & Edinburgh. Marcia Manarin

Ms. Manarin joined Tristone Capital in October 2005 as Business Manager, providing administrative and financial support to the UK operation. Prior to joining Tristone, Ms. Manarin worked for Waterous & Co in London for over 4 years and for Enron in Sao Paulo for 3 years, reporting directly to the Co-Chairman and CEO for the Latin American operation. Ms. Manarin gained 21 years of administrative experience with blue-chip companies such as British Gas, Lloyds Bank and Motorola in Latin America. Ms. Manarin holds a Master of Communication and Public Relations degree from FIAM (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and is a fully-qualified Chartered Accountant (ACMA – Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). She is also a full member of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians - MAAT).
Sueli Sandell
Office Manager
Mrs. Sandell joined Tristone Capital as administrative assistant supporting Capital Markets in November 2006, and in December 2007 took over the responsibility of office manager for the London office. Before joining Tristone she worked as a paralegal assistant in the intellectual property field. Prior to that, she worked as an IT Support Team Coordinator for Ericsson Telecommunications and Enron South America in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Mrs. Sandell holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo.
